ABOUT ME

I am a student of Mass Communication and Media Studies at University of Gujrat. I have been actively participating for community development for more than 2 years now. I co-founded a youth-led organization, YouthEd, providing interactive career counselling sessions to the students of 8th class in my locality, Gujrat. I kickstarted this journey after volunteering in a trust school in Gujrat and devoted myself to the community development projects.

MY PROJECTS

VOLUNTEERED AT EACH ONE TEACH ONE (EOTO) STREET SCHOOL GUJRAT

Volunteering at a trust school in Gujrat with Each One Teach One (EOTO) holds a very special place in my heart. Engaging with children from pitty family backgrounds and witnessing their devotion to education despite multiple hardships, made me realize; its true when they say, “Life is not a bed of rorses.” That’s when my fellow and I realized the need of a proper career counselling sessions which can reduce dropout rates in our locality and carve the path of our community development.

CO-FOUNDED YOUTHED

I along with a Global UGRAD Alumni, co-founded the project YouthEd, providing the proper career counselling sessions to the students of class 8th, in our own locality, Gujrat. Since, we both were the first hand victims of a lack of career counselling guidance and the realizations at the EOTO school made us devote ourselves to this noble cause. Till now, we have worked in different schools of Gujrat and Jalal Pur Jattan, including public and private sectors.

FINANCE SECRETARY AT READERS’ CLUB| UOG 2023-24

In the academic session, 2023-2024, I served Readers’ Club, a society at University of Gujrat as a Finance Secretary. My main role included, funds collection, budget utilization, suggesting new strategies and record keeping. I have learned alot about management from this prestigious society.

FINANCE SECRETARY AT JOURNALISM STREAK SOCIETY| 2022-23

In the academic session, 2022-2023, I served Journalism Streak Society, a society at University of Gujrat as a Finance Secretary. My jobs included, funds collection, expenditures and record keeping. I have learned alot from this prestigious society.
